Sometimes, you may feel you need some extra support and someone to talk to about your feelings and concerns.
If you do need to talk, you can talk to us, especially your Head of Year or your Form Tutor – they are there to help you. If you feel you need a little more support, they can also ask our counselling team to work with you.
Our counselling service is free and it is also available to your family if they need it, just contact firstname.lastname@example.org

Some of our pupils also care for a parent or a relative when they are not at school. We understand it can be very hard to balance school life with these responsibilities.
If you are a young carer there are lots of things we can do to help and support you.
We work with an organisation called HumanKind, and we can ask them to give you one to one support and information, advice and guidance on how to manage your caring responsibilities. They can also work with you and us to develop a plan to help you to achieve the things you want to achieve; arrange activities to give you a break from your caring role; meet other young carers; and access other services who may be able to help you and the person you care for.
If you are a young carer and we aren’t aware of your responsibilities, you should speak to your Form Tutor or your Head of Year. We want to help you because we want you to succeed.
